STORY: Ecstatic United States fans poured out of Las Angeles stadium on Friday (June 12) after their team’s win over Paraguay, celebrating with chants, dancing and even lifting a replica World Cup trophy.

The atmosphere remained electric well beyond the final whistle, with fans describing the match as unforgettable, praising both the team’s performance and the energy inside the stadium.

“It was electric inside… the best sport event I’ve ever been to,” said Charlie Hernandez, 42, reflecting the mood among U.S. supporters who hailed the venue and the result as exceptional

Paraguay fans, meanwhile, left the stadium in a more subdued mood but remained hopeful about their team’s chances in upcoming matches.

The United States opened their World Cup campaign with a 4-1 win over Paraguay on Friday, powered by a first-half double from striker Folarin Balogun, but the victory was tempered by concern over the fitness of Christian Pulisic.
