China

On Friday, the 15th China (Guizhou) International Alcoholic Beverages Expo opened in Guiyang, southwest China's Guizhou Province, where a Guinness World Record for the "most people shaking cocktails/mocktails simultaneously" was broken, with 1,835 participants setting a new record.

The entire challenge was supervised and verified on-site by Guinness World Records Official Adjudicators, ensuring the process and participant count met rigorous, authoritative standards.

Open to the public aged 18 and older, the event broke down the professional barriers of the bartending industry, allowing consumers to participate in a world-record attempt and immerse themselves in the trendy appeal of alcohol culture.

In recent years, the expo has continuously innovated its exhibition model, driving the alcohol industry's evolution from merely "selling products" to a new consumption format characterized by specific scenarios, experiential engagement, and lifestyle integration.

This Guinness World Record challenge—featuring over a thousand people bartending together—used an interactive format that was youthful, accessible, and immersive; it enabled rich, traditional alcohol culture to break out of niche circles and reach a wider audience, further invigorating alcohol consumption.
