M657-EEUU DECLARACIONES TRUMP SOBRE MUSK
U.S. President Donald Trump will attend the opening on Tuesday (July 1) of a remote migrant detention center in the Florida Everglades dubbed "Alligator Alcatraz" as he pressures lawmakers to deliver a sweeping spending bill aimed at ramping up deportations.
The facility sits some 37 miles (60 km) from Miami in a vast subtropical wetland teeming with alligators, crocodiles and pythons, fearsome symbolism the White House has leveraged to show its determination to purge migrants it says were wrongly allowed to stay in the country under former President Joe Biden's administration.
The complex in southern Florida at the Dade Collier Training and Transition Airport is estimated to cost $450 million annually and could house some 5,000 people, officials estimate
As he departed the White House, Trump also suggested the government efficiency department should review the subsidies to Tesla CEO Elon Musk's companies to save money, reigniting a war of words between the world's most powerful person and its richest.
Trump's remarks came after Musk, a Republican mega-donor, renewed his criticism of the sweeping tax-cut and spending bill and vowed to unseat lawmakers who supported it despite campaigning on limiting government spending.

"You know, snakes are fast, but alligators are — we're going to teach them how to run away from an alligator, okay, if they escape prison - how to runaway. Don't run in a straight line. Run like this. (makes zig-zag motion) And you know what? Your chances go up about 1 percent, okay? It's not a good thing.
REPORTER:
"Well what are you going to do about Netanyahu, about next Monday?
TRUMP: "
Well, he's coming here. We're going talk about a lot of things. We're gonna talk about the great success we had. I mean, we had an incredible — in Iran, we had an incredibly successful — like, really, nobody's had in many, many years. That was a precision war strike. And the word obliteration can now be used because the Atomic Energy Commission said - you can't even get into the place. It was — it was demolished. It was really demolished because of a great, brilliant strike. And how to get — go forward. We're also going to talk about Gaza. We want to get the rest of...We've got a lot of hostages back, but we're going to talk about that."
REPORTER: "What about Elon Musk?"
TRUMP: "
I don't know. I think we'll have to take a look. We might have to put DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) on Elon. You know what DOGE is? DOGE is the monster that might have to go back and eat Elon. Wouldn't that be terrible?
He gets a lot subsidies, Peter. But Elon is very upset that the E.V. (Electric Vehicle) Mandate is going to be terminated. And you know what? When you look at it, who wants — not everybody wants an electric car. I don't want an electric. I want to have maybe gasoline, maybe electric, maybe a hybrid, maybe someday a hydrogen. If you have a hydrogen car, it has one problem - it blows up, you know? So I'm going to give that one to Peter. We'll let Peter test it out. The hydrogen cars — and when they blow up, it's serious."
