Vilna, Lituania

STORY: Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskiy said in an online news briefing on Monday (June 2) that his delegation at talks in Istanbul gave a list of nearly 400 children it wanted Russia to return home, but that the Russian delegation agreed to work on returning only ten of them.

Zelenskiy spoke in an online news briefing after attending a NATO meeting in Vilnius, and after delegations met for the second round of peace talks in Turkey.

The Ukrainian leader also referred to a Ukrainian intelligence operation on Sunday (June 1), codenamed "Spider's Web", in which drones smuggled inside wooden sheds attacked Russian military airfields.

He said the operation had helped to restore partners' confidence that Ukraine is able to continue waging its war against Russia's invasion.
