Russia launched dozens of drones on Ukraine’s southern Odesa region overnight, local governor said on Tuesday (December 16), causing a large fire at an industrial site.
The blaze broke out at a warehouse storing household appliances, Odesa governor Oleh Kiper said in a statement on Telegram.
No casualties were reported.
State Emergency Service of Ukraine released video showing firefighters tackling a blaze inside a storage facility.
Reuters confirmed the location as Ukraine's Odesa, by the buildings, warehouse layout, structures, utility antenna, piping, and wall seen in the video which matched file and satellite imagery which matched satellite and file imagery. The date when the video was filmed could not be independently verified.
More than 280,000 households remained without power in Odesa after recent Russian attacks, Kiper said.
The region experienced one of the most severe Russian attacks on the power grid of the war over the weekend
