A video released by Yemen's Houthis on Monday (September 7) showed smoke billowing from trucks near Al-Wadiah on the Yemen-Saudi borders after what the group said was an attack targeting trucks coming from Saudi Arabia.

Reuters was able to verify the location with the buildings and roads that matched the archive and satellite imagery in the area. The date when the video was filmed was not verified. No old results were found posted online before September 7.

There was no Saudi official confirmation of the trucks being targeted.

On Tuesday (September 8), Houthi attacks disrupted Saudi energy facilities, authorities said.

Operations at some energy facilities in Saudi Arabia, the world's top oil exporter, were halted on Tuesday following attacks by Yemen's Iran-aligned Houthis that wounded that wounded 73 people, in what Saudi authorities described as a dangerous escalation.

The Houthis attacked the southern cities of Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan and Najran, the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen said in an earlier statement, adding that the injured included women and children.

The flare-up in violence between Saudi Arabia and the militant group came as tensions mounted between the United States and Iran as the wider Middle East conflict sent oil prices soaring with diplomatic negotiations stalling.
