Yemen's internationally recognised government said Iran-aligned Houthis fired six ballistic missiles at the Red Sea port of Mocha on August 14, killing at least four civilians.

Operations at some energy facilities in Saudi Arabia, the world's top oil exporter, were halted on September 8 following attacks by Yemen's Iran-aligned Houthis that wounded 73 people, in what Saudi authorities described as a dangerous escalation.

The Houthis said on September 8 they attacked the energy sites belonging to oil giant Aramco in southern areas with drones and ballistic missiles. The group's military spokesperson calling it "a broad operation."

Satellite images showed smoke emanating from the Abha Bulk Saudi Aramco distribution centre, and in the area around the Saudi Aramco Jazan refinery, both confirmed as the source of the smoke by NASA FIRMS which showed thermal activity.

Yemen's Iran-aligned Houthis said maritime navigation remained safe for all shipping companies except Saudi vessels subject to a previously announced ban, the group's military spokesperson Yahya Saree said on Telegram on September 11.

Houthi-run Al Masirah TV on September 11 released footage it said showed Houthi fighters at the Khaled bin Walid military camp and the Mocha junction in Yemen's Taiz province after the group's reported capture of the strategic Red Sea port city.

In the footage, a reporter travelling in a vehicle identifies what he says is the Mocha intersection, claiming it had been "cleared" after the withdrawal of Saudi-backed forces. He later points to the al-Waziyah intersection and says Houthi forces were reopening checkpoints and preparing to restore traffic along the road.
