M055-REINO UNIDO FESTIVAL MEDIEVAL
The sound of swords clashing, pots of food bubbling and the thud of galloping horses rung out at Pippingford Park as England's Medieval Festival brought history back to life on Sunday (August 25).
Three three-day bank holiday spectacular, one of the largest gatherings of its kind in Britain, attracted thousands of pilgrims to the Sussex countryside near the south coast of England.
A range of activities took place including jousting, mock battles, craft workshops, falconry and folk music, while attendees could also purchase their own sword or a pair of trousers in a historically accurate shade of brown.
The food and drink on show also stuck to the medieval theme - with items like hare and mead, a traditional honey-based alcoholic drink, available.
