Reuters verified the location where the footage was filmed as Al Hajaf, Lahij Governorate, Yemen, by the buildings, vegetation and parking lot layout, which matched satellite imagery and corroborating verified video. The date when the videos were filmed was verified by the timestamps on the CCTV and corroborating reports of the event. Reuters could not confirm the type of the projectile seen in the videos or who fired it.

Yemen’s Saudi-backed, internationally recognised government said two missiles struck a market in the Al Hajaf area on September 21.

The location where the videos were filmed is controlled by forces aligned with the Saudi-backed coalition.
