Surveillance footage showed a shooter outside a school in Turkey walking with a rifle near the scene of attack on Tuesday (September 22).

A student opened fire in front of their high school in Turkey's western province of Manisa early on Tuesday, wounding at least 11 other pupils, Justice Minister Akin Gurlek said.

Two of the wounded were in a critical condition, Gurlek said. The assailant was caught and their mother, father, and grandfather, who owned the weapon used in the attack, have been detained, the minister added.

Reuters confirmed the location from buildings, windows, doors, trees and road layout which matched with satellite and archive imagery. Date was verified by timestamp on CCTV footage and media reports. The identity of the armed man seen in the video could not be confirmed.

The man was captured by multiple security cameras and in all visuals he was dressed the same. The location where the man was seen in the videos was near the Inci Uzmez Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School. The local governor's office said the attack took place at around 8:00 a.m. (0500 GMT) on Tuesday.
