Video released on Tuesday (March 31) by the Iranian Red Crescent Society showed the aftermath of a strike in Tehran.

Buildings were seen severely damaged and people wounded as search and rescue efforts were underway.

Reuters verified the location from the buildings, road layout, wall and trees seen in the video, which matched satellite imagery of the area.

The exact date when the video was filmed was not verified but no older version of the video was found posted online before Tuesday. Iranian media said Tehran was hit by waves of air strikes overnight on Tuesday.

The war has continued to spread, with Iran-aligned Houthis in Yemen entering the war by firing at Israel, and Turkey reporting on Monday that a ballistic missile launched from Iran had entered Turkish airspace before being shot down.

The war has also revived conflict between Israel and the Iran-backed Lebanese group Hezbollah, while Iran, which has the highest casualty toll in the war, has fired at targets in Gulf Arab states, where the U.S. has military bases.
