STORY: Three people were killed in a helicopter crash on the Greek island of Sifnos on Monday (August 17), fire brigade officials said. Eyewitness video verified by Reuters showed smoke billowing from the site of the accident. Reuters confirmed the location and date by the original file metadata. Coordinates: 36.967100, 24.726800. The location was also verified by the buildings and vegetation, which matched archive and satellite imagery.
