Emergency responders took people to ambulances after two people were stabbed in Times Square on Monday (August 31).

Police cordoned off the area while onlookers gathered at the scene.

New York police said officers shot a woman who was armed with a knife after she stabbed at least two pedestrians, and said they recovered the weapon.
