Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said on Tuesday (September 1) that a Russian attack mainly focused on Kyiv and region killed 12 people.

Night-time footage captured over Kyiv shows flying objects bursting into bright light, with flashes streaking across the skyline accompanied by low rumbling and loud explosions. High-rise buildings stood as the sound of explosions rang out over the Ukrainian capital.

The attack marks the sixth day of Russia's continuous airstrikes on Kyiv and the surrounding region, disrupting the daily lives of millions.
