M007-UCRANIA ANIVERSARIO MASACRE BUCHA
The European Union's top diplomat Kaja Kallas and several EU foreign ministers arrived in Kyiv on Tuesday (March 31) to mark the fourth anniversary of the Bucha massacre and to voice their support for Ukraine, amid tensions within the bloc over EU aid.
Ukraine marks the fourth anniversary this week of the liberation of Bucha, around 25 km (15 miles) from the Ukrainian capital, which brought to light the atrocities carried out in the town where Russian troops killed more than 400 people.
Ahead of the meeting, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said that eight countries confirmed their readiness to join the enlarged partial agreement for the Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine - a planned, ad hoc European international criminal tribunal. He said he hoped that number would grow.
"The scale of Russian atrocities in the course of its aggression is unseen on European soil since World War Two," he said ahead of the meetings. "The ashes of Bucha demand justice to be restored."
Moscow has said it will refuse to recognise the special tribunal and will view any country joining it as a hostile act.
