SHOWS: U.S. President Donald Trump landed at Geneva airport on his way to the G7 summit in the nearby French resort of Evian-les-Bains on Monday (June 15).

Trump was met from the plane by Swiss President Guy Parmelin before boarding his Marine One helicopter to the summit venue.

U.S. President Donald Trump arrived in Evian-les-Bains aboard his helicopter, Marine One, ahead of the G7 Summit on Monday (June 15).

The meeting of leaders of Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the United States comes after the U.S. and Iran said they had reached a preliminary deal to end their war.

United States President Donald Trump arrived on Monday (June 15) at the venue of a meeting of the Group of Seven in the French lakeside resort town of Evian-les-Bains.

Trump was greeted by the French head of protocol as he arrived at the Hotel Royal, where the meeting of the leaders of Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the United States is taking place.

U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday (June 15) said an agreement with Iran has been signed and that the text of the deal would be released sometime after a formal signing on Friday, adding that the Strait of Hormuz would also be fully open.

Speaking alongside French President Emmanuel Macron ahead of this week's G7 meeting in France, Trump said he did not know if he would attend the Friday ceremony expected in Geneva, but that U.S. Vice President JD Vance would be there.

"The deal's all signed. And the strait is already partially opened, as you know," Trump told reporters shortly after arriving in Evian, France. "On Friday, it'll be completely open."

The leaders of the Group of Seven wealthy nations posed for photos on Monday (June 15) ahead of a summit being held in Evian-les-Bains in France.

The gathering of leaders comes amid unease among allies over Trump's tariff threats and questions about the U.S. commitment to the global order.

Discussing the next steps on Iran after the U.S. and Tehran said they had reached a preliminary deal to end their war will be one of several issues the global leaders will wrestle with during the June 15-17 G7 summit.
