05 de mayo 2026 - 11:17

U.S. President Donald Trump made reference to leaving office in "eight or nine years" during an event focused on small businesses at the White House on Monday (May 4).

Trump's remark came on the heels of a tax cut his administration implemented that allows businesses to deduct 100 percent of the cost of new facilities, equipment and capital investment in the first year.

"This way, when I get out of office in, let's say, eight or nine years from now, I'll be able to use it, Trump said of the tax cut.
