The Kremlin released video on Monday (May 11) evening that showed President Vladimir drive himself to a central Moscow where he met with a former school teacher and invited her back to the Kremlin for dinner.

The video showed Putin, in the driver's seat of Aurus Komendant, a Russian luxury car brand, arriving at the hotel in Moscow Arbat area. The Russian president, dressed informally and carrying flowers, meets his former school teacher Vera Gurevich in the lobby of the hotel.

According to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, Putin had invited Gurevich to Moscow fo the WW2 Victory Day parade on Red Square on May 9 and she had stayed at the central Moscow hotel.

Putin was also seen speaking to a man in the lobby of the hotel, who said he had come to Moscow from Sochi for the Victory Day holidays. The two spoke briefly about the weather in Moscow.
