M004-UCRANIA ATAQUES JARKOV
Russian drone strikes hit Ukraine's northeastern city of Kharkiv in several waves on Monday (October 12) evening, sparking fires and injuring residents as emergency crews worked through the night to rescue people trapped inside.
Ukrainian authorities said Russian forces reportedly used 10 Banderol-type missiles in the attack, according to local media reports. Kharkiv mayor Ihor Terekhov said on Telegram that the attacks killed three people.
Footage from the scene showed flames engulfing parts of a residential building, vehicles burning and firefighters battling blazes amid the rubble. Emergency responders carried injured residents on stretchers to waiting ambulances.
Ukraine's Emergency Services said 11 people had been injured in evening attacks, including one strike which triggered the collapse of an entrance to an apartment building. Further strikes in the morning wounded at least 22.

I regained consciousness – I was alive but under rubble. I was in blood, whatever I was wearing. I was badly burnt. Then shards of glass started falling, then the ceiling and walls started falling, and I was simply in a panic, thinking I had to save my husband."
