Some voters in the United States were still split on their choice of senate candidate on Monday (November 2), ahead of the midterm election on November 3. In New Hampshire Democrats are defending an open seat in the state, where Kamala Harris won by nearly 3 points in 2024. Republican US Senate candidate Mike Collins told supporters on Monday that "this race is close" as he kicked off a final day of campaigning across Georgia before Tuesday's midterm elections, urging voters to "fire" Democratic incumbent Jon Ossoff.

“I'm voting Democrat because the Republicans suck. (LAUGHING) I’m being very blunt. Republicans haven't done anything to help out anybody. They're lining their pockets to getting richer and richer. Donald Trump is banking money that he shouldn't be banking. He's one of the biggest goddamn crook politicians there is. So I'm voting Democrat.”

On the same day, US President Donald Trump devoted his final public remarks before Tuesday's (November 3) midterm elections to touting renovations of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool and said midterms do not usually favour sitting presidents. (5043-USA-TRUMP/LINCOLN MEMORIAL)

"With all of those records, it all doesn't matter if we're going to be foolish and let people that hate our country win an election. Because if the people that voted for me and voted in the last election where we had such a great victory, if they go out and vote, just a good portion of them, we will win in a landslide. Now, that doesn't happen because usually whoever the sitting president is, Republican or Democrat, good or bad, good president, great president, bad. For some reason, the sitting president doesn't win the midterms. But we gave this a very strong shot."

“This race is close. All the races are close. I need your help. I need to make sure that you go vote and take people with you to the polls to vote as well. With that, I look forward—we'll be roaming around the state all day today. So last 24 hours of this race, we've been clipping 2,000 miles a week for over a month, doing 4 to 6 events a day and visiting with 2,000 plus people, thousands a week. So we've got one last lap around this race and we'll bring this thing in 1st place tomorrow night.”

The only game in town for low taxes, for common sense, and for patriotic American values--it's Vivek's party, it's Jon's party, it's the Republican Party. And don't forget it tomorrow."

"I have no idea because there's been such a great amount of people doing early voting, I have no idea. But this has always been a very active precinct and we've always had just a steady flow, so I really have absolutely no idea. And I don't think they at the election office know either because it's been so unusual. Satellite voting was more like a presidential voting so I think this is going to be a very unusual year."
