M004-EEUU DESTROZOS TORNADO WISCONSIN
A tornado ripped through parts of eastern Wisconsin on Monday (July 27), damaging buildings and leaving thousands without power.
Drone footage showed heavily damaged structures, uprooted trees and overturned vehicles in the city of Menasha after the storm struck.
Menasha officials declared a local state of disaster as emergency crews assessed damage and cleared debris. Residents were urged to shelter in place because of downed power lines and other hazards.
Police closed the city to vehicle traffic and warned motorists not to enter restricted areas. Emergency shelters were opened for affected residents as crews worked to clear key routes for first responders.
