L663-MOSCU REACCION PUTIN
Russian President Vladimir Putin met on Tuesday (June 2) with country's ombudsman for the rights of the children's right Maria Lvova-Belova.
The footage of the meeting was published by the Kremlin's official website.
The meeting took place on the day when the Russian and Ukrainian delegations are expected to hold second round of peace talks in Istanbul, with no sign they are any closer to an agreement, one day after Kyiv struck some of Moscow's nuclear-capable bombers.
The two sides are expected to discuss their respective ideas for what a full ceasefire and a longer term path to peace should look like amid stark disagreements and pressure from U.S. President Donald Trump, who has warned the U.S. could abandon its role as a mediator if there's no progress
