L609-ISRAEL INTERCEPTAN FLOTILLA LIBERTAD

09 de junio 2025 - 09:57

STORY: Surveillance footage released on Monday (June 9) showed crew on board a charity vessel that had tried to break a naval blockade of the Gaza Strip seated with their hands up, with officials saying Israeli forces had taken command of the yacht.

In the footage, the crew on the British-flagged yacht Madleen, which is operated by the pro-Palestinian Freedom Flotilla Coalition (FFC), were told to hand over their mobile phones and “anything sensitive” by an unidentified person.

The boat was subject to "illegal boarding by Israel" during the night before it could reach shore, the FFC said on its Telegram account. The Israeli Foreign Ministry later confirmed that it was under Israeli control.

Reuters was not able to independently verify the footage. The date was verified by a military statement and announcement from the Freedom Flotilla Coalition.
