The Russian Defence Ministry said on Monday its forces had taken control of the village of Zatyshshia in Ukraine's southeastern Zaporizhzhia region.

Drone video released by the defence ministry on Monday (November 24) showed Russian flags in Zatyshshia.

Reuters confirmed the location of the video by matching buildings, road layouts, water bodies and foliage to satellite imagery. The date of the video could not be verified.

Russian troops were also pushing forward in the transit hub of Pokrovsk in Donetsk region, capturing two districts there, the RIA state news agency cited the defence ministry as saying.

Reuters could not independently verify the battlefield reports.
