L086-ALEMANIA PROTESTAS EN SOLIDARIDAD CON FRANCIA
Students from a French international school in Munich held a spontaneous protest on Monday (October 19) in support of the student movement in France which demands better school conditions and government action.nPolice said around fifty students of the Lycée Jean Renoir school participated in the unregistered protest, which ended with a march towards the French consulate in Munich.
A member of the German student movement "Bayerische SchülerInnen Bewegung" said protesters were calling for a variety of thing, including "greater investment in education and are criticizing the shortcomings of the French school system."
Over the weekend, hundreds of thousands took to the streets in various French cities to protest declining and dysfunctional public services, with some peaceful protests hijacked by rioters, leading to vandalism and chaos. The protests followed weeks of student demonstrations with occasional bouts of street violence in France.
