"This little girl, a little bird from the birds of paradise, was playing at the door of her home. God intended that instead like children of the world should be celebrating Eid, preparing for Eid, this is what happens to her, an innocent child who has done nothing wrong. This little girl… what is this? This is the moon, this is honey, this is our beloved one, all of us love her. By God, all our daughters are our beloved ones."

"People, children in their tents, were happy with the simple joy of Eid, there were no sacrificial animals and nothing much, yet the killing didn't stop, the killed of civilians didn't stop. In tents, safe tents they displaced us from our homes, destroyed our houses, and even in the tents they still come after us. What do we have left? What more do they still want from us? Our children, our women, our children, our daughters, they left nothing without slaughtering it."
