Video obtained by Reuters showed Palestinians running from gunfire near a Gaza Humanitarian Foundation aid distribution site in central Gaza on Saturday (August 2).

Footage showed a child running towards a crowd of people sitting on the ground as shots could be heard ringing out.

Another clip showed Palestinians crouched on the ground as gunshots hit a mound of dirt close by.

Reuters was able to confirm the location from the shape and position of the buildings, rubble and road which matched satellite imagery of the area. The date was verified by the original metadata. Reuters was able to confirm that the video showed people being shot at while gathered approximately 650m away from a GHF aid site from satellite imagery and Reuters reporting.

The United Nations says more than 1,000 people have been killed trying to receive aid in Gaza since the GHF began operating in May 2025, most of them shot by Israeli forces operating near GHF sites.
