STORY: A vessel carrying survivors and bodies recovered from the ferry Mutiara Sentosa 2, which caught fire off Indonesia's Madura island, arrived at Surabaya port early on Monday (August 3) morning for medical treatment and processing. At least five people were confirmed dead and dozens remained missing, though authorities did not provide an exact number. The ferry was carrying 271 passengers and crew, of whom 229 had been rescued, according to official data released early on Monday. Search and rescue operations were continuing, according to official sources. The ferry was en route from Surabaya in East Java province to Makassar in South Sulawesi when the fire broke out on Sunday (August 2) morning. The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
