The U.S. Southern Command said on Sunday (November 16) that a U.S. task force carried out a lethal strike on Saturday (November 15) on a vessel operated by a "Designated Terrorist Organization" in the Eastern Pacific.

According to the command, intelligence showed the boat was moving narcotics along a known trafficking route in international waters. Three men described as narco-terrorists were killed in the operation. The Pentagon said the strike was ordered by U.S. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth.
