STORY: An eyewitness video taken on Sunday (March 8) shows a fire and smoke billowing from a building believed to be near Britain's Glasgow Central Station.

Reuters was able to confirm the location of the footage by the building, road layout, traffic lights and business signages. The building on fire was indentified from the traffic crossing at coordinates 55°51'49.7"N 4°15'21.2"W. The date of the footage was confirmed from file data.

Reports that followed indicated a fire had broken out at Britain's Glasgow Central Station causing major disruptions to train services.

National Rail said in a post on X that major disruptions were expected until the end of the day on Monday (March 9).
