STORY: Eyewitness video captured heavy flooding caused by severe storms in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin on Sunday (August 10).

In the footage, floodwaters could be seen impacting roads, parks, and construction areas.

Reuters was able to independently verify the location of the videos by the road layout, buildings' facades, trees, street lights and street signage that matched file and satellite imagery. According to local media, a storm system in southeastern Wisconsin delivered historic rainfall, causing major flooding and prompting the National Weather Service to issue flood warnings for multiple counties.

As of Sunday (August 10), the National Weather Service said rain and storms have started to develop in Iowa and move into southwestern Wisconsin this evening, with additional showers and storms expected.
