Russia's Putin and India's Modi praised relations between the two countries as they held talks in the Chinese port city of Tianjin, on the sidelines of the two-day meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation regional bloc on Monday (September 1).

Putin addressed Modi as his "dear friend" and said relations were developing dynamically

Modi told Putin that he hopes Russia and Ukraine will move forward to end their war soon.
