L005-BELGICA REUNION MINISTROS UE
STORY: EU countries will likely not reach an agreement on the proposed new package of sanctions against Russia on Monday (February 23), EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said.
Continued resistance from Hungary has made it clear that consensus on the proposed measures will not be reached at a meeting of EU ministers of foreign affairs on Monday, Kallas told reporters before the meeting.
Poland's foreign minister accused Hungary on Monday of showing a shocking lack of solidarity for Ukraine and said he believed the Hungarian government was creating a climate of hostility towards Kyiv to use in an election campaign.

4. (SOUNDBITE) (English) EU FOREIGN POLICY CHIEF, KAJA KALLAS, SAYING:
"We are, of course, doing our utmost to have this sanctions package, to push this through. And I've talked to the member states who are also going to raise this and convince the countries who are blocking. And we are also looking at ways how we can do it. But as we have heard some very strong statements from Hungary, that's why I don't really see that they are going to change this, unfortunately, today, this position that they have."
