A "massive" Russian drone attack on Ukraine's Odesa killed one person and injured two, the regional governor said on Monday (February 9).

Video released by Ukraine’s emergency service on Monday showed rescue personnel putting out a fire on a vehicle, while medics were seen attending to a person in the southern port city.

Reuters was able to confirm the location of the video from the building facade, position and layout of the building and stairs that matched with file imagery of the area. The date when the video was filmed could not be verified. Local officials on Monday confirmed the attack in the region.

Regional governor Oleh Kiper said on the Telegram messaging app that residential infrastructure and a gas pipeline were also damaged.
