L004-EEUU PROTESTAS MINNEAPOLIS
STORY: Dozens of protesters continued speaking out against Immigration and customs Enforcement (ICE) officers on Sunday (January 11) to decry the fatal shooting of a woman by a U.S. immigration agent last week.
Protesters gathered outside the Whipple Federal Building, where they shouted at a small group of federal agents as well as vehicles that left the property.
The Sunday demonstration follows a larger protest on Saturday (January 10) made up of tens of thousands of people marching through Minneapolis. The massive Saturday turnout in Minneapolis despite a whipping, cold wind underscores how the fatal shooting of 37‑year‑old Renee Good by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer on Wednesday has struck a chord, fueling protests in major cities and some towns. Minnesota's Democratic leaders and the administration of President Donald Trump, a Republican, have offered starkly different accounts of the incident.
