A suspect involved in the shooting and killing of two Israeli embassy staffers in Washington, DC, on Wednesday (May 21) night chanted pro-Palestine slogans as he was being detained, an eyewitness video showed.

Video obtained by Reuters showed a bearded man chanting "Free, free Palestine” while being restrained by security officers outside the Capital Jewish Museum. Police identified the single suspect as 30-year-old Elias Rodriguez from Chicago.

The location and date when the video was filmed has been confirmed by the original file metadata. The wall, beams and interior design seen in the video matched file imagery of the location.

The Israeli foreign ministry named the two victims as Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Lynn Milgrim.
