Multiple explosions rocked Ukraine's Kharkiv on Thursday night (June 5) when Russia attacked the city with several drones.

The mayor of Kharkiv, Ihor Terekhov, released CCTV footage showing what he said were direct hits on apartment buildings. 18 people, including four children, were injured in the attacks, he added.

Reuters was able to confirm the location of the video as Kharkiv from the buildings, the trees and the street layout, which matched satellite imagery of the area. The date when the video was recorded was verified by the timestamp on the CCTV footage.

Reuters footage of the attack's aftermath showed a heavily damaged apartment on the top floor of an apartment building, matching the location of the first explosion shown in the CCTV footage.
