STORY: While hosting leaders from five African countries at the White House, U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday (July 09) told Liberian President Joseph Boakai he spoke 'beautiful English' and asked where he learned English.

"Where did you learn to speak so beautifully?... In Liberia?" U.S. President Trump asked the Liberian president.

"Yes," Boakai responded.

"Well that's very interesting. That's beautiful English. I have people at this table can't speak nearly as well and they come from here," Trump said.

Trump on Wednesday (July 09) met with the leaders of Gabon, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mauritania and Senegal and he said that he did not think those countries at the gathering were likely to see any U.S. tariffs.
