J072-POLONIA ADOLESCENTE APUÑALAMIENTO COLEGIO
STORY: An 18-year-old sister of a student said it felt unreal, like a movie, after a 15-year-old former pupil killed one employee and injured two others at a Polish primary school on Thursday (October 8).
The attacker wore a helmet-mounted camera during the assault, marking the second school stabbing in two days that authorities suspect may be linked to an internet challenge.
A 37-year-old woman who worked as a caretaker died in the latest attack, which took place at around 9 a.m. (0700 GMT) in Leszczydol-Nowiny, north-east of Warsaw, officials said.
Parents and relatives arrived to pick up children from the scene, visibly shaken by the incident.
"I'm still shaking all over right now; it's just unthinkable, really," said Grazyna, who came to pick up her grandchild.
On Wednesday (October 7), a 19-year-old wounded 10 people including himself at another school in Ostroleka, in northeastern Poland, and police detained a 17-year-old in Sierpc in north-central Poland on suspicion of planning an attack.
A police spokesperson said authorities had information that the incidents could be related to an internet challenge and that this was being investigated.
Prime Minister Donald Tusk held an emergency government meeting in Warsaw and ordered police to visit schools daily in an effort to prevent further violence.

“I mean, I didn't know if it was even real—I still don't know if it's true, actually—because it sounds so unreal, so terrifying, just like something out of a movie: some kind of challenge to kill as many people as possible. From what I gather, it’s also linked to that incident in Ostroleka yesterday—where a guy wanted to kill on his birthday to get famous or whatever, just to make a splash.”
