“Our legal teams in Palestine report that there was widespread and systematic physical and sexual violence perpetrated against our participants. Multiple injuries were recorded, some of them serious enough requiring hospitalisation.”

“Six vessels in total, we know, were reported shot at by these less than lethal weapons, and one vessel was rammed by an IOF (“Israel Occupying Forces” - A term used by some activist groups and human rights organisations), a military boat. Search and rescue operations conducted by some non-intercepted GSF (Global Sumud Flotilla) vessels at the time revealed that the sails of multiple intercepted boats were actually ripped, water supplies were tampered with and lower decks were flooded with water. We know at least one boat so far has actually sunk into the sea.”

“What the GSF is going to do next. Well, what we are already doing is that we have initiated legal proceedings in multiple countries, including in Turkey, Poland, Morocco, Italy, Indonesia, Spain and in France.”

“There was really severe physical violence, especially in the time between the transfer from the military boat onto Ashdod port where they (activists) were brought into against their will. Our lawyers have - a group of volunteer lawyers working with Adalah - have documented really extreme levels of violence.”

“It was obviously very upsetting to see that yesterday. I didn’t… I came upon it unawares. I saw it on Instagram. But I'm so pleased that her actions have gone global and I'm so pleased that it seems to be making a genuine difference and that she is… She would be very pleased when she hears of all this. And I have to say that for a big burly man, and all his cronies to be attacking a defenseless woman has been the response perhaps that has triggered people's imagination and that it is very sad that it has taken this when we’ve seen years of videos of children with terrible ill treatment, bombings, etc. So I'm hoping that this is a turning point. I'm hoping that this will make a genuine difference into the future.”
