: Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is one of the suitable places to hold a meeting with United States President Donald Trump.

Putin said that he was not 'on the whole' against meeting Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, adding that 'certain conditions should be created' for such a meeting. He stressed that the current situation was 'far' from being ready for it.

JOURNALIST: "Excuse me for interrupting such an interesting excursion, but in light of the recent news about your possible meeting with Trump I would like to ask you who was the initiator of this summit?"

PUTIN: “Both sides showed their interest. Who said what first, (CHANGE OF SHOT) does not matter.”

JOURNALIST: "Your aide (Yuri Ushakov) said the meeting was likely to be held next week (Putin nodding), but where? Could you at least hint at this place?"

PUTIN: “We have a lot of friends that are ready to help us organise such an event. Here is (CHANGE OF SHOT) one of our friends (pointing at UAE the leader), the President of the United Arab Emirates. I think we will decide (later), but this could be one of the suitable venues.”

JOURNALIST: "And what about (Ukrainian President Volodymyr) Zelenskiy? Will you hold the meeting with him?"

PUTIN: “I have been repeatedly saying (CHANGE OF SHOT) that I, in general, have nothing against it, this is possible. But before that, certain conditions should be created. And unfortunately, we are still far from creating such conditions.”
