A Ukrainian drone attack damaged a residential building in Moscow region, the governor Andrei Vorobyov said on Thursday (June 18).

The drone strike damaged the top floors of the high-rise apartment building in the Zhukovskiy district in the southeast of Moscow region. Falling building debris caused damage to several parked cars and a children's playground located on the site of the residential building.

Vorobyov said 16 people had been injured in the large-scale Ukrainian drone attack on Moscow and the surrounding Moscow region.

Scores of Ukrainian drones bore down on the Russian capital and its surrounding region, hitting the Russian capital's oil refinery for a second time this week.
