STORY: The arm of a protester was broken as security officers tried to remove him for interrupting a meeting at the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday (March 4).

Footage posted by anti-war women's group Code Pink showed the protester, identified by multiple media outlets as U.S. Marine veteran Brian McGinnis, shouting messages such as "no one wants to fight for Israel" as he interrupted a Senate Armed Services subcommittee hearing.

Security personnel later escorted McGinnis down the hallway, where he was seen seated against a wall as additional officers surrounded him.

Reuters verified the location of the footage using an official government webstream of the hearing and file images, and confirmed the date through the source and the same webstream.
