J006-ISRAEL DECLARACIONES NETANYAHU AEROPUERTO
STORY: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Thursday (September 25) he would condemn recent recognitions by some nations of a Palestinian state in his upcoming address at the United Nations General Assembly.
Speaking ahead of his flight to the U.S. where he is scheduled to address the General Assembly in New York on Friday, Netanyahu reiterated his rejection of any recognition of a Palestinian state. The Israeli prime minister also announced his trip would also include a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump in Washington.
Trump and Netanyahu have condemned the recognition of a Palestinian state by Western powers such as France and Britain over the last few days.
Israel has drawn global condemnation over its war in Gaza, which is nearing the two-year mark with no ceasefire in sight. The conflict has caused major destruction and killed more than 65,000 Palestinians, according to local health authorities.
