J006-EEUU REDADAS INMIGRANTES
STORY: Federal immigration agents used pepper spray against protesters and detained one individual during demonstrations in downtown San Francisco, California on Wednesday (August 20), video filmed by Reuters showed.
During the demonstration, roughly a dozen law enforcement officers, some of whom wore ICE patches on their uniforms, walked up Sansome Street to the ICE field office in the city’s financial district.
As they approached the office, one officer tackled a protester to the ground and detained them, using zipties to bind their hands.
It’s not clear why the person was detained.
ICE did not immediately respond to an email for comment.
