STORY: Loud blasts and explosions lit up the sky in Kyiv early on Thursday (February 26) as the Ukrainian capital came under what local authorities said were Russian attacks once again.
Kyiv authorities reported that several buildings in three districts of the city were damaged by falling debris from downed missiles and drones.
Air raid sirens were also heard blaring till the early hours of Thursday morning as dawn broke.
Local authorities said that the Russian attacks last night, with missiles and drones, caused damage to residential buildings and injured about 20 people in the eastern and southern regions.
Ballistic and cruise missiles were directed at Kyiv, the Kyiv region and Kharkiv in the east of the country, while drones attacked Zaporizhzhia in the south.
