U.S. President, Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump fielding questions from children on Christmas Eve (December 24) about NORAD’s annual ‘Santa Tracker’ which tracks Santa’s journey around the globe.

Now in its 70th year, NORAD’s Santa Tracker has become a global phenomenon, with people around the world eagerly tracking the computer simulation of Santa and his Reindeer dropping off presents to children.

Trump and the First Lady answered questions from children eager to know when Santa would arrive in their town, whether they should give him cookies, and even why a tracker was necessary.

“We want make sure that he's not infiltrated, that we're not infiltrating into our country a bad Santa,” Trump jokingly told a 4-year-old from Sepulpa, Oklahoma, before reassuring him that Santa is good and that “Santa loves you.”

After 10-year-old Spencer, from Washington State, told Trump she wanted a Kindle for Christmas, he said she must be “a high IQ person.”

“We need more high IQ people in the country,” Trump said.

North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), a joint operation between the U.S. and Canadian militaries, based at Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs, Colorado, is responsible for guarding the skies over North America.
