J004-IRAN ATAQUE INSTALACION MILITAR

Eyewitness footage released on Wednesday (April 1) showed fire blazing in the direction of a military installation after an attack.

Reuters confirmed the location from the road layout and utility poles seen in the video, which matched satellite imagery of the area. The shape of the mountains matched topography mapping. The exact date when the video was filmed could not be verified, but no older version of the video was found posted online before April 1, 2026. Iranian media reported that there was an attack in the area on Wednesday afternoon.

Thousands of people have been killed across the Middle East since February 28, when the U.S. and Israel struck Iran, triggering Iranian attacks on Israel, U.S. bases and the Gulf states, while opening a new front in Lebanon.

The conflict, which prompted Iran to shut the Strait of Hormuz -- a key waterway carrying about a fifth of global oil supplies -- has rattled financial markets and weighed on Trump's sagging approval ratings months ahead of pivotal midterm congressional elections.
