STORY: Firefighters worked to put out a blaze near the airport in Bahrain's Muharraq early on Thursday (March 12), video released by the Bahrain Information Ministry showed.

Flames and clouds of smoke billowed into the air in the video as firefighters worked to contain the blaze.

Reuters confirmed the location from tanks, utility poles and buildings which matched file and satellite imagery of the area.

The exact time when the video was filmed could not be verified but no older version of the video was found posted online before March 12.

The ministry wrote on X that fuel tanks at a facility in Muharraq were targeted by Iranian forces in the early morning on March 12.
