Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited on Sunday (June 15) the site of a residential area near Tel Aviv devastated by an overnight Iranian missile onslaught.

He watched as rescue efforts continued in search for missing people buried under the rubble of a collapsed multi-storey apartment building in the city of Bat Yam, south of Tel Aviv.

Netanyahu said Iran will pay a "heavy price" for civilian deaths.

Authorities said seven people were killed and several more are missing from a missile blast that devastated the cluster of residential buildings in Bat Yam.

Four people were killed in northen Israel overnight when and Iranian missile struck their home in the town of Tamra.

Think about what would happen if Iran had nuclear weapons to land on Israeli cities, think about what would happen if Iran had 20,000 such missiles, not one, 20,000 of them in an existential threat to Israel. And therefore we embarked on a war of salvation against a double threat of annihilation and we are doing it with vigor. Our soldiers, our pilots are over the Iranian skies, Iran will pay a heavy price for the killing of civilians, women, children, that they did intentionally. We will both achieve our goals and strike them. We will deliver them a crushing blow. They will feel our might."
